How to get to/from Haneda International Airport

Updated: Mar 2, 2023

Tokyo International Airport, also known as Haneda Airport, is located just 15 kilometers from Tokyo Station. It is the more central of the two international airports catering for the Greater Tokyo Area, the other being Narita International Airport.

Before looking for ways of transportation, please check Haneda's Airline Information to know what terminal you will be using. Visit this link for more information regarding modes of transportation, maps, transferring between terminals, and more.

Train & Monorail

The Keikyu Line and the Tokyo Monorail Line are both directly connected to Haneda Airport. Check here for the route maps, travel times, ticket gate information, and more.

The monorail begins at Hamamatsucho station, which is located on the JR Yamanote line. This monorail also stops at each of Haneda Airport's terminals, making transit between terminals much easier.

Keikyu Line runs between Tokyo and Yokohama. The Keikyu Line will stop in Shinagawa for the Tokyo area, and the other will stop at Yokohama station.

Depending on the destination and time of day, a taxi ride into central Tokyo can cost between 5,000 and 11,000 yen.

Private Car Hire.

From Haneda airport to Tokyo’s 23 wards and surrounding prefectures, one of the best options for private transportation is to hire a car or a limousine service. This allows you to have the flexibility and convenience of travelling on your own schedule, without having to rely on public transportation. If you have a family, lots of baggage, or pets, a private door to door transfer is very convenient. There are many options so please check here:Private Car Hire - Narita & Haneda airports.

Limousine Bus

Haneda limousine airport buses are significantly less expensive than Narita buses. A trip to Tokyo would cost between 1,000 and 2,000 yen. It also drops you off at all of Tokyo's major tourist attractions and stations.

For more information, visit Haneda's Express Bus & Route Bus page. Here you can see information regarding the stations, travel times, and bus stops for each terminal. For discounts on the Limousine Bus use Klook's booking service or Klook's Pass Tokyo.

Check the list of contacts for inquiries for more details about the transport operators that provide access to and from Haneda Airport.
